Because 50 × 2 = 100, multiply both numbers by 2: 100 × 2 = 200, so the answer is 200% with no division needed.

The formula explained

percentage = part ÷ whole × 100. The part is the number you are asking about and the whole is the number after “of”. Dividing gives the fraction of the whole, and multiplying by 100 turns that fraction into a number out of 100.
