Patterns that help you remember it
- The last digits repeat in a cycle of 1: 0.
- Every answer is even, because 350 is even.
- Every answer ends in 0 or 5.
- Split it into tens and ones: 350 × k = 350 × k + 0 × k.
- Each answer is 350 more than the one before, so you can count on in steps of 350.
Building it from tables you already know
Every answer in the 350 times table is double the answer in the 175 times table: 175 × 6 = 1,050, so 350 × 6 = 2,100. To multiply 350 by 9, multiply by 10 and take one 350 away: 3,500 − 350 = 3,150. To multiply by 11, multiply by 10 and add one more 350: 3,500 + 350 = 3,850. Multiplying by 4 is doubling twice: 350 → 700 → 1,400.
Every multiple of 350 is at least 350, so there are none below 100 and 2 below 1,000. A number is in the 350 times table exactly when it divides by 350 with no remainder.
Odd, even and the last digit
Because 350 is even, every answer in its table is even, which is a quick way to catch a wrong answer. Multiplying by 10 always puts a zero on the end: 350 × 10 = 3,500, and 350 × 100 = 35,000. Multiplying by 5 is half of multiplying by 10: half of 3,500 is 1,750.
Using the 350 times table to divide
Every fact also works backwards: because 350 × 7 = 2,450, you know 2,450 ÷ 350 = 7 and 2,450 ÷ 7 = 350. Practising the table and its division facts together halves the work.

Word problems
Times tables are most useful when you can spot them in a question. Try these, then open each one to check:
- A box holds 350 pencils. How many pencils are in 8 boxes?
Answer
8 × 350 = 2,800 pencils. - Tickets cost $350 each. How much do 12 tickets cost?
Answer
12 × $350 = $4,200. - 3,150 chairs are set out in rows of 350. How many rows are there?
Answer
3,150 ÷ 350 = 9 rows. - A plant grows 350 millimetres a week. How much does it grow in 10 weeks?
Answer
10 × 350 = 3,500 millimetres.
Questions
What is 350 × 12?
4,200.
What is half of 350 × 8?
350 × 8 = 2,800, and half of that is 1,400, which is 350 × 4. Halving one factor halves the answer.
What is 350 times 0?
0. Any number multiplied by zero is zero, because zero groups of 350 contain nothing.
What is 350 × 7 and 350 × 8?
350 × 7 = 2,450 and 350 × 8 = 2,800. These two are the facts most people find hardest, so they are worth practising on their own.
Is 5,250 in the 350 times table?
Yes: 5,250 ÷ 350 = 15 with no remainder. 5,251 is not, because dividing it by 350 leaves a remainder of 1.
How do I learn the 350 times table quickly?
Learn it in order first, then use the patterns above and practise mixed questions; a few minutes a day works better than one long session.
