Patterns that help you remember it
- The last digits repeat in a cycle of 2: 5, 0.
- Every answer ends in 0 or 5.
- Split it into tens and ones: 1075 × k = 1070 × k + 5 × k.
- Each answer is 1075 more than the one before, so you can count on in steps of 1075.
Building it from tables you already know
To multiply 1075 by 9, multiply by 10 and take one 1075 away: 10,750 − 1075 = 9,675. To multiply by 11, multiply by 10 and add one more 1075: 10,750 + 1075 = 11,825. Multiplying by 4 is doubling twice: 1075 → 2,150 → 4,300.
Every multiple of 1075 is at least 1075, so there are none below 100 and 0 below 1,000. A number is in the 1075 times table exactly when it divides by 1075 with no remainder.
Odd, even and the last digit
Because 1075 is odd, the answers alternate between odd and even: 1075 × 1 = 1075 is odd, 1075 × 2 = 2,150 is even, and so on. Multiplying by 10 always puts a zero on the end: 1075 × 10 = 10,750, and 1075 × 100 = 107,500. Multiplying by 5 is half of multiplying by 10: half of 10,750 is 5,375.
Using the 1075 times table to divide
Every fact also works backwards: because 1075 × 7 = 7,525, you know 7,525 ÷ 1075 = 7 and 7,525 ÷ 7 = 1075. Practising the table and its division facts together halves the work.

Word problems
Times tables are most useful when you can spot them in a question. Try these, then open each one to check:
- A box holds 1075 pencils. How many pencils are in 9 boxes?
Answer
9 × 1075 = 9,675 pencils. - Tickets cost $1075 each. How much do 7 tickets cost?
Answer
7 × $1075 = $7,525. - 4,300 chairs are set out in rows of 1075. How many rows are there?
Answer
4,300 ÷ 1075 = 4 rows. - A plant grows 1075 millimetres a week. How much does it grow in 7 weeks?
Answer
7 × 1075 = 7,525 millimetres.
Questions
What is 1075 × 12?
12,900.
What is half of 1075 × 8?
1075 × 8 = 8,600, and half of that is 4,300, which is 1075 × 4. Halving one factor halves the answer.
What is 1075 times 0?
0. Any number multiplied by zero is zero, because zero groups of 1075 contain nothing.
What is 1075 × 7 and 1075 × 8?
1075 × 7 = 7,525 and 1075 × 8 = 8,600. These two are the facts most people find hardest, so they are worth practising on their own.
Is 16,125 in the 1075 times table?
Yes: 16,125 ÷ 1075 = 15 with no remainder. 16,126 is not, because dividing it by 1075 leaves a remainder of 1.
How do I learn the 1075 times table quickly?
Learn it in order first, then use the patterns above and practise mixed questions; a few minutes a day works better than one long session.
