Patterns that help you remember it
- The last digits repeat in a cycle of 10: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0.
- Split it into tens and ones: 1941 × k = 1940 × k + 1 × k.
- Each answer is 1941 more than the one before, so you can count on in steps of 1941.
Building it from tables you already know
To multiply 1941 by 9, multiply by 10 and take one 1941 away: 19,410 − 1941 = 17,469. To multiply by 11, multiply by 10 and add one more 1941: 19,410 + 1941 = 21,351. Multiplying by 4 is doubling twice: 1941 → 3,882 → 7,764.
Every multiple of 1941 is at least 1941, so there are none below 100 and 0 below 1,000. A number is in the 1941 times table exactly when it divides by 1941 with no remainder.
Odd, even and the last digit
Because 1941 is odd, the answers alternate between odd and even: 1941 × 1 = 1941 is odd, 1941 × 2 = 3,882 is even, and so on. Multiplying by 10 always puts a zero on the end: 1941 × 10 = 19,410, and 1941 × 100 = 194,100. Multiplying by 5 is half of multiplying by 10: half of 19,410 is 9,705.
Using the 1941 times table to divide
Every fact also works backwards: because 1941 × 7 = 13,587, you know 13,587 ÷ 1941 = 7 and 13,587 ÷ 7 = 1941. Practising the table and its division facts together halves the work.

Word problems
Times tables are most useful when you can spot them in a question. Try these, then open each one to check:
- A box holds 1941 pencils. How many pencils are in 9 boxes?
Answer
9 × 1941 = 17,469 pencils. - Tickets cost $1941 each. How much do 12 tickets cost?
Answer
12 × $1941 = $23,292. - 13,587 chairs are set out in rows of 1941. How many rows are there?
Answer
13,587 ÷ 1941 = 7 rows. - A plant grows 1941 millimetres a week. How much does it grow in 7 weeks?
Answer
7 × 1941 = 13,587 millimetres.
Questions
What is 1941 × 12?
23,292.
What is half of 1941 × 8?
1941 × 8 = 15,528, and half of that is 7,764, which is 1941 × 4. Halving one factor halves the answer.
What is 1941 times 0?
0. Any number multiplied by zero is zero, because zero groups of 1941 contain nothing.
What is 1941 × 7 and 1941 × 8?
1941 × 7 = 13,587 and 1941 × 8 = 15,528. These two are the facts most people find hardest, so they are worth practising on their own.
Is 29,115 in the 1941 times table?
Yes: 29,115 ÷ 1941 = 15 with no remainder. 29,116 is not, because dividing it by 1941 leaves a remainder of 1.
How do I learn the 1941 times table quickly?
Learn it in order first, then use the patterns above and practise mixed questions; a few minutes a day works better than one long session.
